Every family deserves a stable home and a sense of belonging. But when crisis strikes - be it through domestic violence, sudden illness or financial collapse -many families find themselves without support, unsure where to turn.

Family Sanctuary exists to walk alongside families during their most difficult moments. We offer emergency relief, housing support, counselling, and connection to a strong community network. In 2024 alone, we helped 312 families across the region find safety, support and a way forward - with 89% reporting improved wellbeing within three months of engaging with our services.

Consider the story of Mel and her two children. After fleeing a violent partner, they spent weeks couch-surfing before finding us. With our help, Mel secured a safe home, accessed trauma counselling, and found part-time work through our community employment partners. “It’s not just a roof, it’s the first time I’ve felt safe enough to breathe,” Mel said.
